We would like to thank the 1,400 participants from 66 countries who joined us in Porto, both in person and online, and helped make EBJIS-MSIS 2026 a memorable event.
The joint meeting brought together colleagues from all over the world to exchange ideas, share experiences and discuss different perspectives on the treatment of bone and joint infections.
The programme offered a wide range of scientific sessions, thought-provoking “Europe vs North America” discussions and many opportunities to connect with colleagues from across the field.

EBJIS Charity Run: Together for a good cause
At this year’s conference, participants joined the EBJIS Charity Run – a 5 km non-competitive run along the river in beautiful Porto.
With fantastic community participation, we raised 8,000 €; all proceeds go to the King’s Kongo Central Partnership (KKCP), a health partnership working to strengthen healthcare services and improve trauma care in Kongo Central, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
