African Bone and Joint Infection Network

Réseau Africain des infections osseuses et articulaires

Welcome to the African Bone & Joint Infection Network (ABJIN)

Bone and joint infections (BJI), including fracture-related infections and osteomyelitis, pose significant challenges worldwide. In regions with limited healthcare resources, these conditions can lead to devastating consequences without access to timely and effective treatment. Addressing these challenges is critical to ensuring equitable healthcare for all.
The African Bone & Joint Infection Network (ABJIN) was established under the guidance of the European Bone & Joint Infection Society (EBJIS) to bridge this gap. Our mission is to enhance education, foster scientific collaboration, and improve the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of BJIs across Africa.
As a dynamic community of healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocates, ABJIN serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and best practices tailored to the unique needs of low-resource settings. By working together, we aim to drive impactful solutions and improve patient outcomes throughout the continent.
Join us in advancing BJI care in Africa—because everyone deserves access to high-quality musculoskeletal infection treatment and prevention.
