Travel from the airport

  • Catch the metro “Line E”, Destination “Estádio do Dragão”. Exit at “Trindade”
  • At “Trindade” change to “Line D” – Destination “Santo Ovidio” and exit at “São Bento”
  • Exit the metro station and at the STCP bus stop, catch the “500″ bus – Destination: “Matosinhos (Mercado)”- Exit at “Alfândega” bus stop.

Getting to Porto

1. By Air:

The Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO) serves as Porto’s main international gateway. Located approximately 15 kilometers northwest of the city center. Upon arrival, you can easily reach the city center by taxi (or similar) or by the metro system. The metro provides a convenient and cost-effective way to travel into the city. 2. By Train:

If you are coming from Lisbon airport (or other destinations) there are trains that connect Lisbon to Porto in about three hours. For information about train trips to Porto, please visit the CP website: http://www.cp.pt/passageiros/en/  

3. By Bus:

Long-distance buses are another means of reaching Porto (from Lisbon airport or other destinations). Many bus companies operate services to and from Porto.

Pre-course accreditation

The EBJIS Pre-course on Spinal Infections, Bologna, Italy 10/09/2025 – 10/09/2025, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 6.0 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).

Conference accreditation

The 43rd Annual Meeting of the European Bone & Joint Infection Society (EBJIS 2025), Bologna, Italy 11/09/2025 – 13/09/2025, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 15.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).

Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
