Become a Member of the FUTURE Consortium
The FUTURE Consortium is an international, expert-driven initiative with a maximum of 50 members. Consortium members form the scientific core of the initiative and actively contribute to consensus development, research, and dissemination activities.
Clinicians and researchers with recognized expertise in fracture-related complications are invited to apply.

Who Can Apply
Applicants should be senior clinicians or researchers affiliated with a recognized academic, clinical, or research institution. They must demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following domains:
- Fracture-Related Infection (FRI)
- Fracture Non-Union (FNU)
- Infectious diseases, microbiology, or relevant basic/translational research
A strong scientific track record is required, including a minimum of three first- or senior‑author publications relevant to the field within the past five years. Experience with clinical trials, registries, or prior involvement in consensus-building or guideline development is considered an advantage.
Applicants must be willing to actively contribute to FUTURE Consortium activities, including working groups, meetings, and collaborative publications.

Selection and Term
Applications will be reviewed by the FUTURE Steering Committee and evaluated based on scientific merit, relevance to the consortium’s objectives, and balanced international and disciplinary representation. To ensure broad global participation, no more than three members per country are expected to be appointed.
The consortium will comprise no more than 50 experts in total.
The initial term is two years, with the option to extend for up to two additional terms based on demonstrated engagement and contributions. Active participation in working groups, meetings, and publications is expected throughout each term.
